CARE has been working in Dadaab since its formation in 1992 supporting seven schools where hygiene promoters have been working to educate girls and boys on water and hygiene through workshops on hand washing, cleaning latrines as well as keeping water clean and safe. Over the last year CARE and its partner the European Commission Humanitarian Aid department (ECHO) have been improving water, hygiene and sanitation facilities for over 130,000 refugees in the world’s largest refugee camp in Kenya.
