Women receive seeds at CARE's seed distribution. Conflict broke out in South Sudan in December 2013. Since then, 1.5 million people have fled their homes, leaving everything behind. Due to this massive displacement, people could not plant their fields and many are cut off from any kind of assistance. CARE distributes seeds, such as cowpeas, tomato, eggplant, sesame, sorghum, watermelon and other to 21,000 households in Jonglei, one of the areas most affected by the conflict.
