In order to ensure the utmost safety of frontline staff CARE Bangladesh has provided staff with COVID-19 preparedness training which includes wearing protective suits around people infected by the virus of mass gatherings. Moreover, they have received masks, gloves and sanitizers for daily use. To ensure continuity of services at administration and community level, CARE’s drivers are also working whenever needed.
"I don't feel bad in any way for working amidst this crisis, rather it feels great that my work in this disaster is helping out many people. To ensure hygiene and disinfection inside our cars, we wash the car with detergent and sanitize with sanitizers after every use." Said Ferdoushi Akter, a driver in Shirajganj district. Most of the drivers in CARE Bangladesh are working on a rotation basis to ensure essential work and services are provided without delay.
