Children from the Tutorial Center, Chalitabari village, Gowain Ghat, Sylhet district. The tutorial center was started since the formation of Chalitabari group by Shomoshti project. Chalitabari is a very remote and poor community and most of the people here are illiterate. The main focus of this Tutorial Center was to regularize the drop out children from the school through proper educational mentoring as it was impossible for parents to provide support their children due illiteracy. Here 48 children getting their lesson on regular basis and parents are paying a very small fee of BDT 30 per month for each child. An advisory committee has also been formed to monitor and Higher Secondary grade students were appointed as mentors to teach the children and each mentor is earning around 1200 per month from this center and they are saving the money for higher education
