On 11 March, 2019 Monday, CARE Bangladesh organized a vibrant rickshaw rally for celebrating International Women’s Day. The rally started at 10am from Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy to National Press Club, Bangladesh. The rally waited in front of National Press Club for a small discussion before returning to the starting point at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
CARE Bangladesh, along with many other countries, are working on a global campaign known as #March4Women. The main objective of the campaign is to stop gender-based violence and harassment in the world of work.
To observe International Women’s Day and promote global campaign #March4Women, CARE Bangladesh organized this lively rickshaw rally. The Country Director of CARE Bangladesh Zia Choudhury and Assistant Country Director Barhanu Moreda along with the representatives of partner NGOs were present at the rally. It was a lively event with active participation from everyone.
