Fatima Abba Bukar, 25, has four children, and was photographed in November of 2017 in Nigeria, while sharing her story with CARE. She has been a refugee for three-years. She fled Boko Haram after they attacked her village and burned it to the ground
She and her family are renting a room in a local home, and her husband works as a day labor. She has received the Dignity Kit and gets health care from the CARE run clinic. She and her husband are using family planning. Contents of the Dignity Kit are shown here.
Background: .CARE Nigeria is facing the largest humanitarian crisis in Africa, and for CARE Int. it’s the newest country where we work.
